In prior posts, I've talked about how to set your radar and perform searches in Local Shops. But there's another feature that makes Local Shops even more handy to use: bookmarking!
By bookmarking locations in Local Shops, you can save the places that you look up the most frequently. That way, you don't have to perform a search every time you want to view that location's information.
The Mo'Blast Team is pleased to announce the launch of a new product, EasySigns.
EasySigns is a low-cost digital signage solution that uses existing LCD displays together with existing or dedicated PCs to allow you to display HD videos, Powerpoint Presentations, Flash Movies, Photo Albums, and Announcements. You can even show a live Twitter stream!
The playlist is managed remotely online making it suitable for centralized organizations to manage their communications to staff or customers, but the system is also inexpensive enough and simple enough to be used in a small cafe or local business.
EasySigns is a natural extension of our company's strategic vision, which is aimed at providing a complementary series of applications and services helping local businesses reach potential customers. With EasySigns, Local Shops, and additional applications and services to be released in the near future, we are enabling local businesses to communicate with customers wherever they may be: on the web, on mobile devices, and (using LCD displays) even at stores or other physical locations.
EasySigns is available for a free monthly trial. Sign up today and give it a try!
In the last tips post about Mo'Blast VIA, I talked about using VIA's messaging system, which allows you to exchange messages with your linked contacts. But you can also use VIA to chat on third-party IM systems like AIM or MSN, even with friends who do not use VIA!
One of the best features of Mo'Blast VIA is the ability to exchange messages with your contacts. You can do this in two ways. The first is through third-party Instant Messaging (like AIM, Yahoo Messaging, MSN, etc.), which you can access through VIA. I'll talk about how to use IM on VIA in a future post.
But VIA also has its own messaging system, allowing you to exchange messages with any of your linked contacts. In addition, VIA archives these messages so that you can search them by keyword later.
In the last VIA tips post, I wrote about how to set your profile in Mo'Blast VIA. Now, I'd like to talk about status-related settings: what they do, and how they work.
Status settings are bits of information that change frequently, like your location, your mood, your availability to talk to people, and so on. In VIA, you share this information with the people you are linked to. You can access, set, and change your status settings from the MyVIA page. Read more to find out how to do it.
